TEKKEN TOURNAMENT GUIDE
SUMMARY
STAGE 1
TEAM FIXTURES
Two teams of 3 compete against each other.
Each player plays opposing team member once.
Teams are eliminated until 2 teams remain.
INDIVIDUAL PLAYER POINTS (IPP)
Players within teams also accumulate individual points for Stage 2.
IPP points are points each player gains after each match they play. These are separate from team fixture points.
STAGE 2
PLAY-OFFS
Within the two winning teams in Stage 1, the players ranked 2nd and 3rd in the IPP rankings face each other in a semi-final play-off.
The winner of the semi-final play-off will progress to the play-off final, where they will face the player ranked 1st in the IPP rankings within their team from Stage 1.
The winners of their respective play-off finals progress to Stage 3.
STAGE 3
FINAL
The winners of the Stage 2 play-off finals face each other to determine the winner of the tournament.
STAGE 1

WIN = 1 point
LOSS = 0 points
Teams are eliminated until 2 teams remain.

Point system:
WIN = 1 point
LOSS = 0 points
The player who finishes with the most IPP points in the winning teams from Round 1 and 2 will progress directly into the play-off final in Stage 2.
The players who finish 2nd and 3rd in the IPP rankings within the winning teams from Round 1 and 2 will progress to the semi-final play-off in Stage 2.

- First to 3 rounds wins game
- 3 game wins = 1 set
- First to 1 set wins match
GENERAL RULES
SCORE RECORDING (STAGE 1)
Players MUST report their scores to the score table after each match of the round has been played.
FORFEITS
(STAGE 1 ONLY)
If a player does not show up for a match, refuses to play a match or forfeits during a match, 2 points will be deducted from their individual player points and the opposing player will automatically gain 2 points for their team.
TIE BREAKERS
STAGE 1
TEAM FIXTURES
In the event of equal points between teams after each player has played each other, a one set match will be played to determine which team progresses to Stage 2. The winner of the set will be the first to win 2 games. This match can be played by any member from each team
TIE BREAKER MATCH RULES

- First to 3 rounds wins game
- 2 games = 1 set
- First to 1 set wins match
INDIVIDUAL PLAYER POINTS (IPP)
In the event of equal IPP points between two or more players in the winning team after each team member has played their final match of Stage 1, players IPP ranking will be decided based on which player has the least game losses throughout their Stage 1 team fixture matches.
E.g. Player A – 2 points - total game losses = 3
Player B – 2 points - total game losses = 5
STAGE 2
PLAY-OFFS
SEMI-FINAL PLAY-OFF
Within the two winning teams in Stage 1, the players ranked 2nd and 3rd in the individual player points (IPP) rankings face each other in a semi-final play-off.

- First to 3 rounds wins game
- 2 game wins = 1 set
- First to 2 sets wins match
The winner of the semi-final play-off will progress to the play-off final, where they will face the player ranked 1st within their team in the IPP rankings from Stage 1.
PLAY-OFF FINAL
The play-off final is a 1 set match between the semi – final play off winner, and the player ranked 1st in the IPP rankings from Stage 1.

The winners of their respective play-off finals will progress to Stage 3.

- 2 game wins = 1 set
- First to 1 set wins match

If a player does not show up for a match, refuses to play a match or forfeits during a match the opposing player will be awarded the match win.
GENERAL RULES & INFO
•The tournament will be played on PlayStation 5 consoles.
•Every participant has to remain ready and available throughout the duration of the tournament, or until their elimination from the tournament.
•The rules stated may be modified at any time before the start of a tournament.
PROCESS OF PLAYING A MATCH
1. Players select sides (Left or Right)
2. Players select characters
(Blind pick available – players tell tournament organiser separately which characters they want to select)
3. Players play first game of match on random stage
4. All following games must be played on random stage, regardless of winner or loser
5. Losing player of a game can change character
6. Winner of a game cannot change their character until they lose a game (Winner Lock)
7. Repeat steps 4-6 until set/match is complete
MATCH DRAWS
If a match is drawn due to double KO or time out on game screen:
- The match will not be scored
- Players will replay match with same characters
IN GAME SETTINGS
- Game rounds: 3
(5 rounds in Stage 3 only)
- Time limit: 60 seconds
- Use of character pre-sets permitted
- Players cannot use same pre-set character costume.
- Character customization: Off
FORFEITS
- If a player causes a match pause or controller disconnect on purpose, they will forfeit the current round of that match. Exceptions to this rule include controller malfunction, external interference or an excuse deemed valid from the player.
- If a match disruption happens out of the player’s control (e.g. player’s desynced controller, game/console crash), players will restart the match with the same number of rounds each player has won.
SCORE RECORDING
- The scores recorded at the score table will be used to settle disputes of match scores, team points and IPP standings.
